About Dr Rebecca J Wilson, LMSW, SHRM-CP Founder/CEO

Welcome!

I operate on a simple but powerful belief: it takes a community to improve a community.

Whether I’m navigating public school systems, lecturing in university classrooms, or partnering with organizations through my consulting firm, my mission never changes: dismantle systemic barriers and build clear, equitable pathways to success for all youth and families.

What I Do

As an educational leader, consultant, and equity advocate, I help schools and organizations maximize their strengths to discover their own best solutions. My work hits the ground in three main ways:

  • Strategic Planning & Program Design: Building structural frameworks that actually last.

  • Equity-Centered Systems Change: Moving past surface-level fixes to create true, sustainable access.

  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Uniting schools and community resources to wrap support entirely around students.

Perspective Shaped by Practice

Over the years in education, I’ve worn many hats every hat in the field—Executive Director of Access & Opportunity, Coordinator for College & Career Readiness, Research Associate, School Counselor, Social Worker and university educator.

These roles allowed me to serve and architect several high-impact, district-wide initiatives close to my heart:

  • Designing a comprehensive, first-of-its-kind K–12 school counseling framework.

  • Launching a centralized Welcome Center to streamline family access and enrollment.

  • Researching and publishing on the specific institutional barriers that underserved, mentored college graduates face as they enter the workforce.

Believing deeply in preparing the next generation of changemakers, I have served as an instructor at Fordham University and Connecticut State Community College. I also have the privilege of teaching future leaders directly within the doctoral program at Southern Connecticut State University, as well as frequently guest lecturing at other higher education institutions.

While I am deeply honored to be recognized as the Connecticut School Counselor Association's Administrator of the Year and a CT State Norwalk Distinguished Alumna, the real reward is witnessing the synergy that happens when a community unites for its youth.

The Foundation

My work is backed by a rich academic foundation spanning social work, counseling, and educational leadership—culminating in my own Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Southern Connecticut State University. I also maintain active credentials as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and certified school administrator.

Whether you want to transform your organization’s equity strategies, design high-impact programming, or collaborate on a community initiative, I’d love to connect.

Let’s build something impactful together!
